| The 6th Annual Celebration of Service for Rhode Island Firefighters was held in Exeter Saturday.
The event took place at the Rhode Island Firefighters Memorial, located at the RI Fire Academy on Greene Lane.
One hundred seventy six firefighters from the state who lost their lives in the line of duty were honored at the memorial. That includes the seven new names that were added to the LODD Wall this year.
The keynote address was given by retired Fire Chief Scott G. Kettelle from the North Kingstown FD. Welcoming remarks were offered by Governor Dan McKee and Sen. Jack Reed. |
