On Thursday May 23 the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs met in Watch Hill for their monthly meeting. Chief Dennis Reall was the host for the meeting held at the historic Lanphear Livery building at 1 Bay Street. Watch Hill FD had some of their apparatus on display and several of their firefighters were able to be on hand to greet RIAFC members and guide them to the meeting parking and location. Nearly 50 people attended the monthly meeting held adjacent to Watch Hill Harbor. Unfortunately the sun was replaced by clouds and thunder claps. However, the RIAFC extends it's most sincere appreciation to the Watch Hill Conservancy and Watch Hill Fire Department for their hospitality.
