RIAFC Liaison Program
Purpose:
To provide an open line of communications between the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs and those organizations that are stakeholders in providing emergency services in the state of Rhode Island.
Objective:
To designate members of the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs to serve as liaisons to the stakeholder organizations and maintain a monthly communication with their respective stakeholder contact.
Procedure:
1. A RIAFC member will be assigned as the primary contact (Liaison) to the stakeholder organization.
2. The Liaison will be the primary contact for the RIAFC, and therefore should be contacted for any
communication from the RIAFC to the stakeholder organization.
3. The Liaison will also serve as the primary contact for the stakeholder organization to contact the
RIAFC.
4. Each Liaison shall be appointed by the RIAFC President after approval by the Board of Directors.
5. Each Liaison will serve an unlimited term, but will be reaffirmed be each incoming RIAFC President,
after such President receives reaffirmation approval by the Board of Directors.
6. A Liaison may be removed by the RIAFC President for lack of participation as a Liaison.
7. Any Liaison vacancy will be filled as soon as possible by the RIAFC President with approval from the
Board of Directors.
8. Each Liaison is expected to contact their respective stakeholder organization at least once every thirty
days.
9. Each Liaison is expected to report to the RIAFC organization at each monthly meeting either in person
and/or by a brief written report.
